After getting back into a routine in Norman, I finally managed to notate the main “germinal idea” that I mentioned in my last post. Though the melody will likely change significantly before the work is finished, the basic idea is below:
Also, now that I actually have real, live, actual work, I had to actually assign a working title to the piece. Since my junior year of college, I've given the majority of pieces a Latin “working title” to differentiate them from the other files in my “scores” folder. This piece, for the time being, is now called “Sine Nomine (without name) – Semper Reformanda (Always needing reformed).
