Writer's Block

About

Writer's Block was surprisingly easy to write, despite the name. In this piece, our flutist doesn't quite know what to play or how to get the piece off the ground. In a moment of frustration she discovers the answer and presents a jazzy unaccompanied solo. Everything after the "eureka" moment in Writer's Block uses the jazz standard I Could Write a Book as its harmonic progression.
